Visit this peaceful hideaway in a delightful quiet corner of Devon. The Old Post Office is cosy, small and immaculate it has recently been totally refurbished in a bright contemporary style.

This is a great spot to get away from it all in the heart of a charming Devon village that has an attractive pub, a village store and playing fields with a tennis court. The Property is set between the attractive market towns of Hatherleigh and Holsworthy.

 

You can take a short drive to the glorious Cornish coast at Bude, Or the North Devon coast and Saunton. The cottage is conveniently placed for exploring the coastal paths of both the north coasts of Devon and Cornwall. The Tarka Trail is easily accessible. It has important features, passing 108-mile route covering a wide variety of rural landscapes woodlands river valleys rugged moorland coastal cliffs and sandy bays and pretty local towns.

This is The Ruby Country named after the local breed of Ruby red cattle. You can walk one of the ruby trails from nearby Cookbury Hatherleigh and Sheepwash
If you travel to Okehamptoin you can reach The Dartmoor National Park with its adventure and charm. Also the Granite cycle track is within easy reach. Horse Riding over the Moors is very popular, walking, Golf courses within easy reach at Okehampton and Holsworthy . Course Fishing in local lakes or river fishing is available in the area. A Welcome food pack is provided on arrival of local produce

The front door opens into the charming living room that has a wood floor, two comfortable chairs, a rug, electric flame burner, a small dining area and is well equipped with books, games, flat screen TV with DVD. The neat kitchen area has smart glossy red fitted units, a double electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge with icebox and washer/dryer. Fitted with Night Store Heater. Pine stairs wind up to the charming double bedroom. This is a spacious, bright room with unusual windows that overlook the village street. Attractive contemporary double 4ft 6in bed, with fitted wardrobe and a chest of drawers. Fitted with Electric panel heater. Bathroom with bath, electric shower, washbasin and WC.

 

Outside:

 

The cottage sits alongside the village street with the pub, a quiet country inn, just opposite. The playing fields and tennis court, close by is the Village stores and Post Office. A short walk takes you down the village to the River Torridge which runs just below the village. There is a Church and Doctors Surgery in the village.
